Wonder Lake, Illinois
Boston University, 2002, graduated in three years with
a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Russian,
focusing on foreign policy and security issues in Russia
and Eastern Europe.
Worked in White House Global Communications Office,
authoring and editing internal and external publications
and e-newsletters including White House Fact of the
Day, White House Grid and Global Messenger, hosted
foreign press for Presidential interviews, served as
liaison with worldwide correspondents, wrote Presidential
proclamations for White House Correspondence;
spent one year as Assistant to the President at the Nixon
Center, a non-partisan think tank, working with national
and international dignitaries and leaders.
Illinois faculty members are so brilliant and yet so accessible
and friendly. The caliber and quality of the faculty,
along with the student atmosphere and the closeness to
family and friends makes Illinois the perfect place.
Taking the CFI (Counseling and Fact Investigation)
course, custody negotiations, trial advocacy, enjoy learning
from Professor John Colombo as a first-year student,
Professor Steve Beckett, the Director of Trial Advocacy
and Trial Team coach, and Professor Cheryl Meier.
Loves to travel and has traveled extensively throughout
Europe and the Caribbean. Spent 12 years as a camper
and camp counselor in Northern Michigan teaching
sailing and outdoor survival skills. Enjoys Chicago Cubs
and Boston Red Sox baseball and has two Lab/Boxer mix
dogs named Fenway and Wrigley.
Enjoys the courtroom experience with Moot Court and
Trial Team, served as treasurer for Phi Alpha Delta.
Would love to combine her love of different cultures and
travel with her passion for corporate law doing international
corporate litigation. (or something like that!!)
