Peter B. Maggs
I teach law at the College of Law of the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign, where I am Research Professor of Law. In the 1990s and early 2000s I spent
much of my time working on projects to aid the development of the legal
systems of Armenia,
Belarus, Georgia, Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova,
Russia, Tajikistan, and Ukraine. My research centers on Russian law and
intellectual property law, particularly copyright and trademark law. I also have an interest in international commercial arbitration.
Students at the University of Illinois College of Law may find my course syllabi and old exams on the
College of Law website.
