Stephanie has been Head of Public Services at Illinois since the fall of 2005.
Prior to that, she spent nearly 6 years at the Yale Law School as Reference and Electronic Resources
Librarian, where she taught in the first year legal research program, selected and managed
electronic resources for the law library, and supported faculty and student research.
Her responsibilities at the University of Illinois include coordination of reference,
circulation and reserve services, management of the law library's Graduate Assistants from the
Graduate School of Library Science, and management of the library's faculty Research Assistant
pool.
Stephanie is active in the American Association of Law Libraries, having served in various
offices in the Social Responsibilities Special Interest Section and the Standing Committee
for Lesbian and Gay Issues. She was a contributing editor to the Standing Committee's recent publication,
Sexual Orientation and the Law: A Research Bibliography, and is web editor of the online site
for updates to the bibliography, at lgbtbib.org.

Professor Davidson's current research concerns the future of academic
legal reference services in the hybrid (print/electronic) library environment. and the library's role
in supporting interdisciplinary work in law, particularly in the area of sexuality and the law.
