The Comparative Law Collection resides on the upper level. Comparative law
monographs and a few specialized comparative law journals have been
classified in the Library of Congress system as K 33 to K 9242.
The Foreign Law Collection is located on the lower level, in the north range
of compact shelving, starting with Afghanistan on the east end through
Zimbabwe on the west end. This collection includes all non-U.S. countries
except Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Materials formerly
organized in a "British Commonwealth" collection (Caribbean countries,
Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.) and U.S. trust territories are
now integrated into the foreign collection. Current (unbound) foreign
periodicals are located alphabetically by country on the north wall shelves.
The International Law Collection is located on both the upper level
and the main floor. The international collection has been classified
in the Library of Congress system as JX and KZ - KZA. International journals
are located on the main floor with call numbers beginning K 1 through K 30.
Books with call numbers beginning JX, KZ and KZA are on the upper level
in the north area. The current (unbound) journals are in the reserve room (main floor).
