Photocopies

There is a copier in the administrative suite (Room 202) on the second floor of the College that you may use. Additional copiers for faculty members are located at the east end of the third-floor hallway and in Room 116 on the first floor. You are welcome to use these copiers at no charge for any small copying jobs related to your work here. Your assistant can provide you the code for the copiers, which you will need in order to use them.

You may want to copy and distribute a course syllabus, as well as other materials, for students in your course. Your assistant can handle this copying for you.

The College allows up to 75 pages of free handouts (per student) in each class. After the 75-page limit has been exceeded, we charge students (at cost) for the handouts. Contact Dan Vander Ploeg at 333-7883 and he will determine these charges and arrange for copied materials of more than 75 pages to be sold through the College's bookstore.

If copied materials will total less than 75 pages, you may either ask your assistant to place those materials on shelves outside the basement Copy Center, or you may distribute the materials yourself in class. If you think you will have more than 75 pages of handouts (per student) over the course of the semester, you should discuss that with your assistant and Matt as soon as possible. Once you have reached the 75 page limit, please do not ask your assistant to make copies on the low-volume copiers. Those jobs should be sent to the Copy Center so that they can be sold to students through the bookstore.

Please take care to check copyright restrictions on any materials to be used in your classes. "Educational use" rights are not nearly as broad as one would think. Your assistant can run any necessary checks on materials to be copied.
