Illinois Law

The University of Illinois College of Law produces a 30-minute weekly television program entitled, “Illinois Law,” hosted by Professor Amy Gajda, a former television anchor, reporter and talk show host in several major markets. In partnership with local CBS affiliate, WCIA-TV, the College's “Illinois Law” program focuses on legal issues in the news, research developments, articles and publications and other newsworthy items from the College of Law faculty.

“Illinois Law” is now in its fourth season and has become a critically-acclaimed success with a large and growing Sunday morning audience. The show is taped at the WCIA studio in Champaign and is produced and broadcast on WCIA-TV Channel 3 (CBS affiliate). “Illinois Law” episodes are syndicated on the 100-station statewide Illinois Channel.

The College of Law and WCIA 3 teamed up on November 5, 2008 to air a special one-hour live broadcast “Economy in Crisis: A Local Look” featuring faculty members Christine Hurt, Larry Ribstein, Ward McDonald, Charles Tabb, Robert Lawless, Richard Kaplan, and Rick Winkel.
