Professor Joseph W. Yockey joined the faculty of the University of Illinois College of Law as a Visiting Assistant Professor and Academic Fellow in August 2008.  His research and teaching interests focus on corporate governance, securities regulation, and commercial litigation.  Before entering law teaching, Professor Yockey practiced at Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago, where he concentrated on litigation matters relating to corporate governance, securities, antitrust, and mergers and acquisitions.  From 2004-05, he clerked for the Honorable John Daniel Tinder of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana (presently of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit).  He received his J.D. Summa Cum Laude and Order of the Coif from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he also served as Articles Editor for the University of Illinois Law Review
