Carrie Turner was named the Interim Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations in April, 2008. Previously, she had served the College of Law as the Director of Development, working primarily as a major gifts officer for the western half of the United States, portions of Illinois and Cook County. Carrie has 15 years of development experience, including planned giving, annual funds, special events and community fund-raising. She served as District Director, Divisional Field Representative, and Regional Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association from 1993-2004, supervising 20 staff members in four offices and coordinating the 21-hour MDA "Labor Day Telethon" television broadcasts in Champaign, Peoria, Quincy, and Moline. Prior to joining the College, she was the Director of Development for the Krannert Art Museum at the University of Illinois. Carrie earned her B.A. from North Central College in 1989. She resides in Mahomet with her husband Dean, and two children.
