After receiving her degree in Criminal Justice in 1979, Joetta joined the Illinois State Police where she completed a 20 year career as a Telecommunicator, Office Coordinator, and Peer Support Advisor. Upon retiring from the Illinois State Police in 1999, Joetta came to the University of Illinois and became the College of Law Receptionist in 2000. When not at the law school, Joetta pursues a side career with her pet sitting business and is active in her church. Joetta enjoys the outdoors, especially spending time at her family's farm and pond. Joetta resides in Savoy.
