Graduation caps and gowns

Ordering

You may now order your regalia online at www.herffjones.com/illinois. The deadline for placing orders is April 20, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. Please select cap and gown from the first drop-down box, select the #5 JD/LLM student option for the second drop-down box, and for the third drop-down box JD students need to select the Doctorate option and LLM students need to select the Master's option.

Picking Up

Caps and gowns will be distributed in the Multi-Purpose Room #6 of the ARC Building at the following times:

Thursday, May 14	10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, May 15	9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 16	8:00 a.m. to Noon
Sunday, May 17	8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

You are strongly advised to pick up your academic attire on Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15. Please be aware that your gown will be folded and very wrinkled. You should present your receipt at the time of pick-up.

Rental fees must be paid in full by check or cash only when you pick up the apparel. Checks should be made payable to Herff Jones. Payment cannot be made in advance. Please note that credit cards are NOT accepted.

JDs cap, gown and hood	$72.00

You are strongly advised to pick up your academic attire as early as possible. Please be aware that your gown will be folded and very wrinkled. You should present your receipt at the time of pick-up, and checks should be made payable to Herff Jones. Please note that credit cards are NOT accepted.

Returning

Following the campuswide Commencement ceremony and/or unit convocation, you must return your rented mortarboard, gown, and hood. Herff Jones representatives will accept rented academic attire in the Illini Rooms at the following times:

If returning the attire on Monday, May 18, return it to Multipurpose Room #6 at the ARC building. Otherwise return the attire to the Illini Union Bookstore.

Saturday, May 16	2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 17	10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Monday, May 18	8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Because of state health regulations, only returns of rented academic attire can be accepted at these times.

Graduates who do not return their rented attire by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18 are responsible for returning academic attire to the Illini Union Bookstore, May 19 through May 22 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Please note that Herff Jones, Inc. will assess a late charge of $5 per day to all graduates returning rented academic attire after May 18.
