The Office of Career Planning & Professional Development will not post job notices or otherwise disseminate employment
information to students when a non-lawyer is seeking a law student to do legal research.
This policy is to prevent students from being placed in a situation where they could be called upon
to render a "legal opinion". Unless the research is being performed under the supervision and guidance
of a licensed attorney, the "legal opinion" can be construed as practicing law without a license.
