The University of Illinois College of Law features faculty members who produce three statewide and regionally syndicated radio programs on legal topics. The newest member of the Illinois law radio family is "Government Insight," a weekly show hosted by former Illinois State Senator Rick Winkel, now an Adjunct Professor in the College of Law. "Government Insight" airs Tuesday afternoons on WDWS-AM 1400. The longest running radio program at Illinois, "Legal Issues in the News" is hosted by Professor Amy Gajda and originates from WILL-AM 580 on the University of Illinois campus. "Legal Issues in the News" has been on the air for more than 20 years and is broadcast on National Public Radio stations throughout Illinois. Professor Gajda's program mirrors her weekly legal column appearing in The News-Gazette.
Adjunct Professors Greg Adamski and Karen Conti have teamed up to produce a weekly program, "Legally Speaking" on WGN Radio 720 throughout the Midwest. "Legally Speaking" features prominent guests from the legal profession and is beamed to more than 30 states on the 50,000-watt WGN signal. University of Illinois College of Law faculty are frequent guests and consultants to the program.
