Corman Professor, was featured in a front page article (with color photo) “Heroism more prevalent than inaction” in the March 17 edition of the News Gazette. His study of Americans and their willingness to assist others in need is also on the main University of Illinois home page and in this week’s edition of Inside Illinois.

WGN-AM 720: Professor Beckett on Alton Logan case with Adamski and Conti
Last Sunday, Professor Steve Beckett provided an outstanding interview with Adjunct Professors Greg Adamski and Karen Conti, the hosts of the popular WGN-AM 720 radio show, “Legally Speaking” on the Alton Logan case in which the attorneys for Andrew Wilson revealed his guilt in the 1982 murder of a South Side McDonald’s security officer after their clients’ death last year. The show was fascinating, exploring professional ethics, the attorney/client privilege, an attorney’s responsibility to maintain confidentiality, and powerful insights into the lives of defense attorneys. The segment of the show was sponsored by the College of Law, featuring our weekly 30-second radio commercial (currently promoting our TV show, “Illinois Law”).
