Law Alumni Association

The University of Illinois Law Alumni group (UILA) is now the official Law Alumni Association.

As an alumnus of the College of Law, you are now an automatic member of the Law Alumni Association – an organization that works to promote professional and social relationships amongst alumni, to encourage a supportive relationship between the law school and its alumni, and to promote the educational mission of the College of Law.

Whether you have 5 hours a week or 5 minutes a year, there are many opportunities for you to get involved with your alma mater.

• Host an admitted student event at your firm
• Call a prospective student and encourage them to attend
• Mentor a student
• Volunteer for your Class Reunion
• Send College news email updates to your contacts
• Attend Great American Cities
• Participate in the Alumni Student Career Conference
• Be a speaker at an alumni or student event
• Host a regional event in your area
• Help us find lost alumni
• Invite a recent graduate in your community to lunch

To be the official University of Illinois College of Law Alumni Association and serve as the official representative of alumni of the University of Illinois College of Law (together with any successor thereto the “College of Law”);

To encourage outstanding men and women of diverse backgrounds to apply to and attend the College of Law;

To advise and mentor students of the College of Law on academic and professional topics;

To promote the cutting-edge work done by College of Law alumni;

To promote the College of Law’s ongoing mission to study the law and expand the knowledge and professionalism of practicing attorneys;

To promote professional and social relationships among alumni;

To provide College of Law alumni with information on career opportunities;

To deliver current news to alumni of the College of Law;

To share current alumni views with the College;

To cooperate with the College of Law and interested alumni to strengthen the Alumni Association and to create local chapters around the world;

To encourage philanthropy to benefit the College of Law community.
