The University of Illinois
College of Law offers 11 scholarly areas of research, teaching,
and coursework, called "Programs". These are not majors or concentrations
in the traditional sense but areas of academic interest and strength
within the College of Law. Faculty members coordinating each of these
"Programs" annually invite speakers, lectures, conferences, and
symposiums to the College of Law on specific topic areas, along
with conducting scholarly research, promoting comparative scholarship
and teaching, and producing articles, journals, and other publications.
