Admissions Requirements
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Law or Juris Doctor (or equivalent degree) from an approved law school, or have completed the formal requirements needed to practice law in their home countries.
Application to the College of Law LL.M. program requires a completed application for Admissions to the Graduate, a resume, a personal statement, certified transcripts of all university-level coursework, Declaration and Certification of Finances form with supporting financial documentation, three letters of reference and a current TOEFL or IELTS score.
Complete instructions regarding transcripts and financial verification are contained in the application. As outlined below, you may apply online or request an application and brochure by mail. All mailed applications and supporting documents should be sent directly to the College of Law address shown below.
Students begin the program only in the fall semester and applicants for the 2010-2011 school year are encouraged to apply as early as possible after September 1, 2009. The application deadline is February 15, 2010. Please note that an application fee is required.
Online applicants may pay the application fee electronically by VISA or Mastercard. Other applicants should include a check with their paper applications. The fee is $75 U.S.
All applicants from countries where English is not the official language are required to submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores. The minimum TOEFL score is 79 internet-based and must be taken within 2 years of program term of entry (August). The minimum IELTS score is 6.5 with subscores of at least 6 on all four modules (Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading).

Degree Requirements
In addition to one required course, Introduction to the U.S. Legal System, students must complete at least seven other courses for a total of 32 credit hours, which may be selected from any of the College's offerings. View the current semester and full course listings.
A minimum grade point average of approximately 2.75 based on a 4.0 scale is required.
