Externships

Students who perform legal work without compensation for approved non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, or judges can earn academic credit for their work. Work must be performed under the direct supervision of an attorney.

To gain credit for an externship, students must submit an application and have that application approved before beginning work. Externship participants must complete hourly work requirements, a midterm, and a final to receive credit. Applications MUST be approved before you begin working and before you register for the course.

For forms, handbook, and more information, view the externship website.
