Law 796: International and Comparative Family Law

This course examines how different countries regulate family relationships.  It analyzes and compares family laws in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa and also focuses on international conventions addressing issues such as child marriage, violence between family members, and reproductive freedoms.  The course explores the role of religion in countries' regulation of marriage, divorce, and nonmarital relationships.
