Law 794: Mergers & Acquisitions
This course will explore the law, regulatory environment, and strategy surrounding business combinations under Delaware and federal law. The course will open with a multi-week simulation of a government antitrust agency merger review. Students will work in teams on the simulation and will be mentored by prominent antitrust attorneys and economists throughout the simulation. We will also explore selected M&A corporate law topics, focusing primarily on the corporate law of Delaware. Students will be evaluated on the basis of the quality of their simulation participation (50%) and on the basis of a final examination assessing mastery of non-antitrust topics covered in the course (50%).
